Social skills grown side by side

Group Therapy

Skills that grow with peers, not just in theory

Overview

What is Group Therapy?

Some skills grow best side by side. Group therapy brings small, matched groups of children together to practise turn taking, conversation, cooperation and play: the things a one to one session can explain, but only a group can truly rehearse.

Led by qualified therapists and kept deliberately small, every group is matched by age, goals and temperament, so each child is gently stretched, never overwhelmed, while building real friendships along the way.

FAQs

Common questions

How are groups formed?

By age and developmental goals, so every child is with peers they can genuinely connect with.

Can my child do both group and individual sessions?

Yes. Many children combine one to one therapy with a group, and the two reinforce each other.

What if my child finds groups overwhelming at first?

Groups are small and therapist led, with a gentle entry plan so children join at their own pace.

What ages are your social skills groups for?

We run groups for different age bands, each matched by age, goals and temperament. Ask us which group would suit your child best.
